The knife itself has a great build quality. If one (possibly two) MAJOR ergonomic flaw (s) were corrected it would easily be 4 1/2 to 5 star. First (and MOST importantly) the thumb stud placement is terrible. The stud is too close to the rotational axis amplifying the required force to activate. It is too much of a pinching motion. It is assisted release so the initial force should be high, for safety, but to compensate the stud needs to be closer to the tip, in essence creating a longer lever. Which would dramatically reduce required force. I am having my gunsmith grind off the old stud and put one on further down. Second, the grip stacks the fingers unevenly which just feels odd, I may have the handle reshaped too, it really wouldn't take much to make it VASTLY better. I also have the ARK recurve which has VERY GOOD ergonomics. Thanks.
